Bruce Myers joins CoAspire as a Principal Advisor
CoAspire is thrilled to welcome Bruce (“Moz”) Myers to the Executive Team as a Principal Advisor. Bruce has over 25 years of program management, DoD capture management, business development, technical new product development/manufacturing, and operational process experience. He has established a strong track record in developing processes and controls, DoD program strategy from capture to execution and leading global programs and teams.
Mr. Myers has held progressively demanding leadership roles throughout his career. Most recently he was the Vice President of Program Management for $1.2 billion Artesyn Embedded Technologies Inc., Power Division. Artesyn Technologies is a global leader in the design and manufacture of highly reliable power conversion and embedded computing solutions for a wide range of industries including communications, computing, health care, military, aerospace and industrial automation. Artesyn's Embedded Power business is one of the world's largest power supply companies. He was responsible for the division’s global enterprise, new product introduction, program management activities that spanned six engineering design centers located in Minneapolis, MN, Vienna Austria, Hong Kong China, Shenzhen China, Taipei and Manila Philippines with over 45 project managers and 800 design engineers.
Prior to Artesyn, Mr. Myers held Director roles at Digi International, a global leader in manufacturing and creation of “Internet of Things” embedded electronic technology products that speed time to market in new product introduction. At Digi he was responsible for all client project success and satisfaction in the embedded electronic Wireless Design Services Division.
Prior to Digi, Bruce held progressively responsible DoD programs and Business Development roles for over 14 years with $5 billion Harris Corporation (Multimax, Inc., Netco Government Services, and Wamnet Inc.).
Bruce led the ONE-NET program for United States Navy (USN) line of business, reporting to the Vice President of Navy Programs for Harris IT Services (now Peraton). Peraton is a leading systems integrator and prime contractor delivering excellence in IT Transformation, Managed Solutions and Information Assurance, enabling defense, intelligence, homeland security, civilian and commercial enterprises to meet their missions.
Mr. Myers joined Harris with the acquisition of Multimax, Inc. in 2007. He served in Program Management roles during early phases of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Program with WAM!NET, and later assumed Capture Management and Business Development positions in affiliation with Netco Government Services and Multimax.
He is a retired Naval Officer, serving 20 years (active duty and reserve) in positions of increasing responsibility during his Navy career, as a Naval Flight officer, flying the F-14 Tomcat. In his final reserve assignments, he was responsible for air attack planning and operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Global War on Terrorism while assigned to the Coalition Air Operations Center, Al Udeid AFB, Qatar.
Mr. Myers earned a master of business administration from the University of Wisconsin, and holds a bachelor of arts from St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN. He also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Program Management Institute (PMI).
Mr. Myers is a member of the Naval Reserve Association; Navy League;Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association; National Defense Industrial Association; and the American Council for Technology–Industry Advisory Council.

USAF publicly requests $31.596M for JAGM-F missile "New Start" in FY19

CoAspire was pleased to see the US Air Force publicly request this week $31.596M in its FY19 Presidential Budget Request for the JAGM-F missile. The document, located online and pictured below is a new start of the weapon, a spiral improvement of the JAGM missile for Air Force fighter aircraft. According to the Air Force budget document published online this week:
Description: Joint Air-to-Ground Missile for Fixed Wing Aircraft (JAGM-F) is an improvement to the Army's JAGM which will allow the missile to be released from fixed wing aircraft in order to eliminate time sensitive moving targets and high value covered/sheltered targets. JAGM-F will be able to combat adverse weather/low visibility battlefield and countermeasure environments and austere communication environments and have the ability to engage multiple targets types near simultaneously in multiple engagement modes. Efforts include but are not limited to testing, qualification, and design/build demo components to production standards. Intent is to meet all BRU-55, BRU-57 and BRU-61 environments.
FY 2019 Base Plans: Exercise Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC) contract. Model design and build, Jettison and Capture Analysis, Mechanical Design, Electronic Design and Testing, Electrical Packaging, software design and code development, weapons system integration, aircraft systems integration, test vehicle design and build, and test vehicle flight planning.
