CoAspire is building a three-person, full-time team of engineers to perform Missile Systems Integration, Software, Electrical, Mechanical and Test Engineering to support a U.S. Air Force precision guided munition program. CoAspire is based out of Fairfax, Virginia and is currently accepting resumes from U.S. citizens with a current or recent SECRET-level U.S. Security Clearance to build out a team for future employment by April 2020. All three engineers will receive extensive training on the PGM system prior to working with the U.S. Air Force customer. Please submit resumes for either of these three positions through ZipRecruiter at this link https://www.ziprecruiter.com/job/a6d8b747 and/or info@coaspire.com
The Opportunity: CoAspire is proposing a team to support the U.S. Air Force sustainment activities for an in-service Precision Guided Munition (PGM) including aircraft integration, mission planning, flight test, and engineering and technical support. Additionally, the team may be also working on a new, unrelated PGM-derivative being developed under a Small Business Innovative Research Proposal (SBIR) under review by the U.S. Air Force.
Why CoAspire?: CoAspire is a small, rapidly growing business. These engineers will be working on new PGM programs, and their jobs will be fluid and full of variety. Our engineers will be supporting the Air Force during flight testing, keeping current missile systems operational and relevant, while using their skills to help design and build an innovative new PGM. Lots of variety, lots of responsibility, room to grow and compensation levels based on skillsets and value to the company and our customers.
Compensation: CoAspire is offering all three positions as full-time positions with a full benefit package. The first Chief Engineer position is offered at $140,000 in annual compensation, the Chief Software Engineer position is offered at $120,000 in annual compensation and the Junior Engineer position is offered at $70,000 in annual compensation.
Most of the work will be in Fairfax, Virginia with travel required approximately four times a year to Eglin AFB, (Ft. Walton Beach) Florida and Nellis AFB (Las Vegas) Nevada. System support activities at those Air Force locations includes on-site Weapons System Evaluation Program (WSEP) testing involving PGM telemetry installation, telemetry data recording, and PGM telemetry data stream reduction/analysis.
Integration efforts in Fairfax, Virginia include software interface updates between aircraft and the weapon system that occur due to aircraft upgrades, weapon system improvements, or additional compatibility requirements. Additional integration activities include support for aircraft Software Integration Lab (SIL), Interface Control Document (ICD), System Support Simulator (SSS), mission planning, Fly-Out Model (FOM), and PGM simulator support for five U.S Air Force aircraft.
Tasks for the SIL include software integration for the PGM, engineering testing/evaluation for duplication of recurring failures or interface variations due to aircraft software updates.
Maintenance and repair of simulators include circuit card repair, software upgrades, anomaly resolution, troubleshooting, cable repair, and alterations necessary from aircraft hardware or software upgrades or technical changes.
Software support for Common Munitions Built in Test/Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE), Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) and 6-DOF simulation analysis. Support for 3-DOF, Weapon Launch Acceptable Region (LAR) analysis, Operational Flight Profile (OFP), and CMBRE MAP cards.
Sustainment activities require a high degree of technical expertise with multiple software/hardware products for the PGM equipment, aircraft integration, and cybersecurity conformance.
